We have a group of dedicated Vincentians, volunteer men and women, who give their time, talent and treasure to those in their hour of need through home visitations and ongoing support. As a Vincentian, you will be trained to work with those in need and grow spiritually through this important work.

Raise Awareness of Our Ministry

A group of Catholic men and women met in May of 2021 at St. Benedict’s Parish to learn about the works of St. Vincent de Paul and the Society that, 400 years later, bears his name and follows his lead. With support from the SVdP Richmond Council, the Bishop of the Diocese of Richmond, we formed the Society of SVdP St. Benedict’s Conference to serve those in need in Chesapeake and Hampton Roads.

Pray for Us

The Vincentian Charism is a way of life. It is a road to sanctity, the sanctification of our own lives and the lives of others. Before, during, and after home visits, Vincentians pray in a special way asking the Holy Spirit to inspire us with joy and patience, to be at work in us as we bring the Good News to the downcast, healing to the brokenhearted, hope to the destitute,  and compassion to all who are suffering. We humbly ask you to pray for our good works.
