Are you currently accepting volunteers?

YES! We are actively recruiting members and volunteers to help us fulfill our mission. We provide training and an orientation to keep our Vincentians informed, well-trained, and safe.

Where does SVdP need the most help right now?

Our core work is home visits, but we have needs in other areas as the Conference develops in its mission. Please contact us if you would like to be considered for our various committees including Youth Apostolate support, home visits, blood drive, development, and membership.

Where do Conference funds come from?

Funding for the Conference comes from the St. Benedict’s Parish Poor Box. In addition, private donations directly to the Conference. In 2023, the Conference will implement specific fundraising events to ensure we meet the financial assistance of those in need.

How do neighbors in need contact the Conference?

Local municipal services often provide our Conference contact information to those needing assistance. In addition, through a platform called Charity Tracker, our Conference becomes aware of individuals who need help. Individuals also call the SVdP office number directly (through St. Benedict’s Parish).

How is the Conference organized?

The Conference has a board of directors, spiritual advisors, and committee chairs. Active members meet bi-monthly to discuss business operations and to receive training on the Rule of St. Vincent de Paul.

What are the types of assistance given to neighbors in need?

Utilities (electricity, water, gas) and rent are the most common assistance provided to neighbors in need. In addition, furniture, gas cards, and food gift cards are also offered.
